My Statement as an Artist

As a dancer, I am always working to refine my artistry and transcend boundaries of both myself and my art. The more that I learn, the more I want to continue learning and share that knowledge with others. As dance has always been a natural form of expression for me, I am able to hone in on my hard-working nature and share my experiences and inner self with others through movement. I am a performer, and love to challenge myself to express my art in a variety of different ways for every opportunity I achieve. I am constantly inspired by people, music, and the environment around me, and am able to use the discipline and outlet for creativity that dance brings me and translate It into other avenues of my life.

My statement as a Teacher

I teach to inspire and share my love of dance through individualized approaches to movement and inviting oneself into a space to grow, connect, and play. Finding a balance between pushing oneself to explore more than they thought possible and allowing the ability for self discovery is important in teaching dance to be most rewarding and influential to any and all students.  After developing my and understanding my own teaching values, it has become rewarding to recognize what teaching has meant to me and be able to incorporate those ideals into what I wish my students to gain out of class.
